about

This RPM 2019 album is an experiment in ambient electronic music created with a variety of instruments, both electronic and acoustic. It features a newly developed instrument built at the Memorial University Electroacoustic Research Laboratory (MEARL). This instrument, JADE, along with EEG and heart rate data is coupled with various controllers including ROLI, Linnstrument, and Ableton Push to create the lush soundscapes and harsh noises of this experimental album. The album features machine learning generative music, as well as live sampled instruments.
